  4. Don't agree on Ali bhai's deduction in this case. We should not promote something which was disliked by our Prohphet (PBUH). He always talks about moving by the book (Kitaab) but here he is just deducing against it purely out of his intuition. If we will stand for someone we are enabling and putting a thought in his mind that everyone should do the same for them. Moreover teachers in Pakistan order students to stand in their respect also it is kind of a necessity to stand on national anthem. So it is not matter of our pride but we don't want to help someone who are fulfilling their pride by going against will of Prophet(PBUH)

I have an immense respect for Dear Ali bhai as well as dear sahil bhai, but in my humble opinion I would side on sahil adeem bhais side in this particular case bcoz if Our Syed Rasoolullah SAW found it unacceptable for people to stand for him, then definitely no body has izzah more than our Syed that we may stand for him and i can also say that, isn't then it incumbent upon us to dislike what Rasool SAW disliked. I think the only one Almighty Allah deserves our standing in front of him.

    If you want to take it this way, then why don't we let people count their rakah when they join the Jamat salah in ruku'? Let people take the advantage of the ambiguity.
